'Light',
'mild' or 'low tar' cigarettes sound as if they’re
not so harmful – which is why their makers call them that.
But the smoker will probably smoke more cigarettes, and
inhale more deeply, to get the same amount of nicotine.
The deeper you breathe in, the farther the tar goes down into your lungs.
And you breathe even more carbon monoxide.
So the smoker’s risk of a heart attack and cancers could be
even greater. |
